Saw one of these today:
Circa 1984-1985 third generation Toyota Celica (A60) at a local dealership. The body was in immaculate condition, as were the cloth seats. A note on the dash indicated a local body shop had given it a work-over.
Ignoring the distasteful wrap, you can see this is one of the ultra-rare convertibles. According to Wiki, the 'vert conversion was done by American Specialty Cars in California. Only a few thousand were made.
Interesting that the TOYOTA badge is repeated twice. Check out those skinny little dual exahust pipes, and those wheels with white lettering on the tires! And those pop-up headlights!! Always been a sucker for pop-up headlights.

I don't believe that this badge is factory; it looks too modern anyway. Typically, the trim level badge would be there (GT or GT-S, for example).

Going by the flares and wheels it's a GT-S trim.
The vert is the best looking model, I don't like the front though, probably spoiled by the mk2 supra.

Mrs McMike had a red notchback when we met.
She had just moved here from the mid-west for her first job out of school. Washington DC rent and entry-level social work didn't leave her much extra at the end of every month, but she had a full set of snows in her tiny apartment closet.

Does Attrell have some sort of 'thing' for old Celicas or something? For the longest time, they had a purple 1st gen they were trying to sell. Neat car, but I was always too broke.
